How To Frame A Garage Door Wall

Materials You'll Need

Before you start, you will need to gather some materials:

2x6 lumber
2x4 lumber
Garage door header
Garage door track
Anchors
Insulation
Drywall

Step 1: Frame the Jambs

The first step is to frame the jambs for the garage door. The jambs are the vertical supports that will support the header.

Cut two 2x6 pieces of lumber to the length of the garage door opening.
